OVERVIEW

FOOD & BEVERAGE METAL FABRICATION

Food and beverage work is hygiene engineering. Every internal corner that traps product, every weld that isn’t crevice-free, becomes a cleaning and contamination problem. We fabricate in 304 and 316L stainless with sanitary practices: continuous full-penetration welds, ground and polished to a smooth internal finish, and radiused internal corners that drain and clean down properly.

From brewery tank shells and dairy hoppers to filling-line frames and IP-rated control enclosures, we cut, roll, bend, and weld the complete assembly, then pickle and passivate so the stainless keeps its corrosion resistance after welding.

MATERIALS

MATERIALS WE USE

304 for general food contact, 316L where salt, acid, or CIP chemicals are present. Sheet 0.8–6 mm for tanks and enclosures; heavier plate for frames. Internal finish to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm on request. See all metals and thicknesses we laser cut.

PROCESS

HOW WE MAKE IT

Sanitary TIG welding (crevice-free, full penetration) · weld seams ground and polished · pickling & passivation after welding · internal electropolish available for CIP surfaces.

FAQ

FOOD & BEVERAGE — COMMON QUESTIONS

Do you follow sanitary / hygienic welding standards?

Yes — full-penetration, crevice-free TIG welds, ground and polished, with pickling and passivation after welding. We can target internal Ra ≤ 0.8 µm and electropolish for CIP surfaces.

304 or 316L for my equipment?

304 is fine for most dry and general food contact. Choose 316L where chlorides, acids, or aggressive CIP chemicals are present — its molybdenum content resists pitting. We’ll advise per application.

Can you make full tanks, not just cut parts?

Yes. We laser-cut and roll the shells, form the cones and dish ends, weld the assembly, and finish the interior — a complete tank, not just flat blanks.

Do you provide material certificates?

Yes — mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) for the stainless, so your food-safety and traceability audits are covered.
