STAINLESS STEEL

OUR SPECIALTY

Looking for raw stainless steel? Zemsteel — our group company — supplies 304/316L sheet, plate, pipe & coil.

Cut every day — from 0.5mm decorative foil to 150mm structural plate on our 60kW flagship. Taiyuan is northern China’s stainless steel hub — material sourcing is deep, fast, and direct.

Nitrogen-assisted cutting produces a bright, oxide-free edge — critical for food-grade tanks, medical devices, and architectural panels where appearance matters. We cut 304, 316L, 201, 430, and duplex 2205.

Applications: Commercial kitchen · Brewery & dairy tanks · Pharmaceutical vessels · Architectural cladding · Handrails · Heat exchangers · Water treatment

CARBON STEEL

The workhorse. High strength, low cost, excellent weldability. Oxygen-assisted cutting uses the exothermic reaction for faster speeds on thick sections. Production: 0.5–60mm, maximum 80mm. For extreme thickness structural work, plasma may be more economical — we’ll tell you honestly.

Use: Machine frames · Brackets · Structural weldments · Flanges · Agricultural · Construction

ALUMINUM

Light. Corrosion-resistant. Thermally conductive. But highly reflective — aluminum demands the right laser power. Our 12kW–60kW machines handle it without back-reflection damage. Production: 0.5–30mm, maximum 40mm.

Use: Electronics enclosures · Heat sinks · Automotive panels · Marine · Drone & UAV parts

FAQ

MATERIAL QUESTIONS

01

Which stainless steel grade should I choose?

304 is the standard — food-grade, excellent corrosion resistance, our highest-volume material. 316L adds molybdenum for superior pitting resistance — marine, chemical, pharmaceutical. 201 is the economical choice for indoor architectural use. Not sure? Send your application details →

02

How thick can you cut stainless steel?

0.5mm to 150mm on our 60kW machine. For production-quality cuts with good edge finish, we recommend up to 60mm. Beyond that, speeds decrease and edge quality requires more attention. Thickness chart →

03

Can you cut titanium? What’s involved?

Yes — Grade 2 and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) up to 25mm. Titanium requires argon shielding to prevent oxidation at cutting temperature. We run it on our higher-power machines with dedicated gas setup. Common in medical implants, aerospace brackets, and chemical equipment.

What about aluminum and reflective metals?

Aluminum reflects ~90% of laser energy — you need sufficient power density. Our 12kW+ machines handle 5052 and 6061 up to 40mm. Copper and brass are even more reflective (95%+) — we cut them up to 20mm. Lower-power lasers risk back-reflection damage on these materials — ours don’t.
